WitW - Session 53

The party was invited inside by the Githyanki warriors. After a chess tournament—in which Horace won against everyone—the party proceeded to destroy the fake Arcane Reprojector that had been preventing the Gith from Plane Shifting off the rock. It took its toll on the party, but they were successful. Once done, they contacted Uzik, a Drow who was a prolific informant. She told them that Tinky, the one who sold the fake device, was stranded on the Elemental Plane of Ice.

The party then invited the Gith to join them in searching for Tinky. Upon arriving, Orozag immediately spotted a dragon turtle swimming beneath the ice of the lake they had landed on. Horace and Jeatz cast Dimension Door to reach the far side of the lake and entered a dilapidated stone structure. Inside, Horace and Glitter tore apart the smelly zombies.

Outside on the ice, the Gith distracted the dragon turtle—though only Orozag survived, the trio had dealt significant damage to the creature. Everyone else made it to the shore, where they finished clearing out the building. Afterward, they reluctantly killed the dragon turtle.

They discovered that the zombies had torn apart Tinky, but luckily, the gnome had a number of valuable items in his bag of holding—including a real Arcane Reprojector. The weather continued to batter them, and the ruined structure offered little shelter from the blizzard, so they stayed only long enough to lick their wounds.

They prepared for one last Plane Shift—and arrived in the middle of the heist, just outside the warehouse.
