WitW - Session 61
Almyre returned to the party and shared the vision given to her by her late grandmother. The Lord of Night seemed to have returned. Ariazel must have managed to resurrect him fully with only two of the fey hearts—though he was likely less powerful than a fully fledged Lord or Lady.
Somehow, the party convinced Orozag that birds weren’t real and were actually fake and really agents of mages.
They headed to see Almyre’s father and were reunited with Meera, who had been thrown into the Wild through a gash beneath the obelisk. She had been practicing her cleric abilities to aid others since her arrival.
Anar lingered on the edge of life, sustained only by the gentle repose cast on him so long ago. Even with her relatively low-level magic, Meera could resurrect Anar—if only for a moment. With the party’s help, they managed to bring him back long enough to share some final words.
Alura, princess of the Summer Court, was officially granted leadership of her people. Her fate was now tied to retrieving the heart of the Summer Court—or she would perish. Thankfully, Anar used the last of his strength to fill the void in her chest, bestowing upon her the power to control time using Time Stop.
The party reveled only briefly. Cousin Jahir brought them the potion stock from the late proprietor of Polly’s Potions, but soon they were off again. They passed by Jeatz’s ancestral home, prepared to face Victor Kane, but found the sea of shadows spreading into both the Autumn and Summer Courts. Jeatz cast Sunburst, briefly revealing Victor Kane lurking comfortably within the shadows. Unable to hold back the encroaching dark, they turned instead toward Widdershins to check on the village.
Genevieve greeted them, explaining they had survived only thanks to Lady Loraema, who had been holding back the darkness at great cost to herself. Genevieve then went to the inn to prepare a hot meal and whiskey for the party once they had finished speaking with the Lady of the Lake.
