WitW - Session 62

The party spoke with Lady Loraema, offering her the unused dragon heart. It reinvigorated her, allowing her to push the darkness further back revealing safe passage to the nearby storehouse. Venturing there to bring back the supplies, the party were enthralled by the sweet whisperings of the shadowy veil, but were taken aback at it swiftly turned violent.

They discovered a sprout of Treetwig had taken up residence in the shack, keeping it safe. They thanked the fey guardian, offering him a slow drip of wine and headed back to the village. Promptly, Esith and Orozag had a tussle, with her retaining her post as captain. Feeling the spark between them, the party incensed Orozag to pursue her and he went to seal the deal. Perhaps a little too quickly.

They left soon after, Spring Court bound to avoid sleeping more than necessary as the curses would weigh on them more heavily. Lady Bloom Lushleaf greeted them, pleased to see Horace and Bronto made up despite their history. She sent the party off into the darkness in search of the Lord of Night with magically charged radiant lanterns.

The party had a few close calls, but largely got extremely lucky and only made out with a few scrapes with Glitter's aid in spells. They closed in on the Lord of Night, but ultimately couldn't get the jump on him thanks to a wild magic surge from Jeatz. An invisible Horace snuck around the battlefield, but Jeatz and Almyre hid behind a large boulder. Thorns covered the battlefield, and the pair of casters were lifted in the air by a reverse gravity spell. Almyre was able to escape after being pushed out of the magic field, but Jeatz still lingers there.
